When I think of the United States Military, I think of some of the greatest leaders and heroes who have served this country. Who are we to question the character and values of these great men and women? I also think about all the young Americans who are going into the service one day. We have all been told for years that the United States is an “unshakable” nation. Now I ask why we are still questioning the values and character of the United States Marine Corps?Do you want to learn more? check here
The United States Navy is a great example of how we should conduct ourselves when serving as citizens. The United States Navy had stood up to many threats in the past and come out stronger than ever. Why is it that we question their character when they have stood up so strong. One would think that we are a better nation because we are willing to send our best and most capable individuals to the United States Naval Academy and the Marine Corps Commandant’s Office to become first lieutenants respectively. Apparently, we are not quite that confident in our own selves.
So the moral of the story is, if you want to join the marine Corps is preparing to be a great leader and example. Have the courage to assume the role of Commandant and lead from your perch. If you can do that, you can be the best gunny in the fleet and lead from the top to the bottom. If you cannot do that, then you may want to consider other career options. You have done your homework and now it is time to make the decision. Remember, don’t let anybody talk you into something you don’t want to do!
