Usually, a vascular specialist has a small incision plus a stent that are attached to a bag that is placed in the leg for placing the laser or any other instrument that the surgeon uses. The stent is removed once the surgeon is done with the procedure. There are three types of procedures available namely Balloon angioplasty, Vascular Endoscopy, and Myofascial Release. The balloon angioplasty is one such procedure whereby the surgeon inserts a plastic tube through a small cut made in the skin right below the vein, and this is inflated by the pressurized air. On the other hand, the Vascular Endoscopy is a minimally-invasive procedure whereby the vascular specialist inserts an endoscope through tiny incisions in the skin and uses it to locate the swollen veins.
